Walk 4
- 3 mile riverside walk via Polehanger Farm and Crackle Hill,
Meppershall.

Start
walk as Walks 2 and 3 by heading from the Church down Mill
Lane, past the 'White Hart' pub. At the end of Mill Lane follow
the footpath across the field to the wooden bridge. On the other
side of the bridge go through the metal kissing gate and turn immediately
left following the river. |
| Dragon
flies, May flies and occasionally Kingfishers can be seen on this
stretch of river. Continue to follow this path past the seat until
you almost reach the underpass, where you will see a stile on your
right. Go over the stile and follow the signs to the right of Polehanger
farm and across the field to the track. |

Turn
right at the top of the track, down Crackle Hill to the bottom until
you reach the drive to 'Woodhall Farm'. Turn right here and then
left along the side of the hedge until you reach the metal kissing
gate, go through this, turn left again and through the second kissing
gate. |
| Follow
your footsteps back over the bridge, across the field past the Mill
and The White Hart until you reach the Church. |
