On Friday 17th November Her Majesty The Queen visited bedfordshire. She
arrived by train to Arlesey station then travelled by car to Samuel Whitbread
Community
College, where she was taken on a tour of the College's art and dance facilities and sports hall before officially
opening the school's new arts and science buildings.
After visiting the college Her Majesty The Queen accompanied the
Duke of Edinburgh had lunch at the new offices of Mid Bedfordshire District
Council at Chicksands. They were taken on a guided tour and Her Majesty
officially opened the new offices.
In the afternoon the Queen who is patron of St John’s charity Sue Ryder
Care visited the hospice in Moggerhanger, while the Duke visited the newly
refurbished Stotfold Mill.
