(i) Work is progressing with memorial gates, but as yet lettering on pillars has not been started
(ii) Swing shackles still to be done
(iii) R Webb has cleaned the sign at the recreation ground, but decided that,
due to the volume of grass cuttings, not to move them
(iv) Strip of grass to the underpass has still not been cut
(v) R Austin will be commencing the safety tiling week commencing 5th July
(vi) B Thompson advised that there was confusion over representatives from Campton at the Burial Committee

6. Parish Plan
|
C Eden proposed that a Parish Plan be carried out for the community needs.
Requested the purchase of a software package, which will assist in
the development of a questionnaire. – this will cost £75
The Parish Plan is a living document.
There needs to be community involvement
The recommended time for completion is one year.
It was resolved to commence work on the Parish Plan

8. Churchyard and Headstones
|
One of the vaults in the churchyard has collapsed
As it is a closed yard it becomes the responsibility of the parish Council
Action had to be taken quickly due to Health and Safety reasons
Costs have already been incurred
Will attempt to make a claim on insurance, otherwise the Parish Council will need to pay costs

Cambleton Barn – has been recommended for refusal – there is an opportunity
to speak at development committee. Campton & Chicksands Parish
Council did not object to the application
4) Chicksands development will not reach committee until July
5) A letter has been received from LCC re siting of mast at Rowney Farm – this is not within the parish
6) 42 Greenway – nothing has been heard yet as to whether retrospective planning has been submitted

The landscaper is up to date in the cemetery

Gate into the wood on the Chicksands side gate is off and sleeper still not back
Newsletter was late being printed – Chicksands need more notice

D Day – comments were received concerning the state of the Memorial gates
Elm Close – work carried out on behalf of BT needs to be made good
Carnival - £650 was made. Only one complaint received and that concerned parking
Not heard anything regarding dropped kerbs as yet
