Chicksands Priory
|
A
Priory granted the Gilbertine Order in 1150. After dissolution it
was
leased and later conveyed to the Osbourn family who owned it for over
400
years. Dorothy Osbourn lived at the Priory during the 17th
Century.
She is noted as a write of letter that she sent to her fiance
William
Temple after they were parted following the Civil War. Over 70 of
the
letters survive in the British Museum. The Priory is open by
appointment
only.

Mausoleum, the final resting place of the de Grey family of Silso is
attached
to Flitton church. A series of chambers with monuments dating
from
1545 to the late 1800's. The collection is often described as one
of
the greatest storehouses and collections in England.

Jacobean hunting lodge built in 1615 for Mary, Countess of Pembroke. It

across the statue garden, water canal and pavillion and other features

the woodland with it's nature trail. Wrest Park House once the
